Stroll through this charming city and sample Swiss chocolate, watch the swans cavort in the river, and soak up the festive atmosphere of the city. Next, head to Chur, the oldest town in Switzerland, for an overnight stay in the historic city center, where their charming holiday market brightens the piazza. The following day, board the Bernina Express, a panoramic train for a four-hour ride through the heart of the Swiss Alps, as you observe the winter wonderland from your first-class window seat. Arrive in Milan, a city filled with stunning holiday decorations. From Christmas trees decorated by iconic fashion designers like Gucci and Ferragamo to buildings covered in festive lights, the city is alive with holiday spirit in December. We will explore the different neighborhoods of the city, with a special stop to see DaVinci's Last Supper. This 8-night tour begins in Venice, where you will spend three days exploring this ancient city and its islands. We will explore unique spots around the lagoon and visit outlying islands as we go on historical adventures. Next, we head to Verona, the setting of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. We will spend two nights in a lovely hotel in the city's heart, adjacent to Piazza delle Erbe. A private car will take us to Lake Garda for the day, where we will explore Sirmione. Next, we head to Milan for a day exploring the city before we embark on our next adventure... an elegant and scenic train ride through the Swiss Alps on the Bernina Express. The final destination on this tour is Zurich, Switzerland, where you will spend two nights in the historic city center. This tour has one optional adventure: a day in Lucerne to visit the peak of Mt. Pilatus!
